Doily

Here is the doily I have been talking about I finally finished. Didn't really take that long to do. I made it with DMC 100% cotton size 10 thread. Color #5745 Banana Yellow. It is approximately 22 inches in diameter. The pattern is "Venus In View" by Glendola Hodges published in the Magic Crochet Feb. 1992 #76 magazine issue pages 42-43.

I really like how this one turned out.

BTW any and all comments are more than WELCOME on my work, as it helps me to learn and grow!

Thanks for looking!!!

Your doily is beautiful! I love Magic Crochet's patterns. I think they're very easy to follow. The banana yellow is very pretty... it would look great on my dining room table! ; )

The doily is terrific, not my colour, but I like the design. Negative space really adds to a design and a large doily like this one really benefits from the contrast that negative space gives.Crochet is so much more forgiving than tatting though. I've done several crochet doilies and you can throw them in the wash and back on the table straight out of the dryer. Tatting just HAS to be blocked or it looks like a crumpled mess.
